How to Read Your Tire Size (Philippines Guide)

That string of numbers on your tire’s sidewall tells you everything you need to order the right replacement. Here’s how to read it.

Decoding the code

Take 185/65 R15 as an example:

  • 185 — tread width in millimeters
  • 65 — aspect ratio (sidewall height as a % of width)
  • R — radial construction
  • 15 — rim diameter in inches

Where to find it

Look on your tire’s sidewall, or on the sticker inside the driver’s door jamb. Match this exact code when buying replacements.
